The Amarena de Cantiano, from the Marche region in Italy, is a semi-candied sour black cherry, renowned for its intense and slightly tangy flavor. Harvested between June and July, it is carefully pitted before being processed using a traditional method that preserves its authentic taste.

👩‍🍳 Recipe idea: Amarena Cherry Tart & Almond Cream

Ingredients:

  • 1 shortcrust pastry
  • 100g of soft butter
  • 100g of almond powder
  • 100g sugar
  • 2 œufs
  • 100g of Cantiano Amarena Pariani

Preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C
  2. Spread the dough in a mold, prick it with a fork.
  3. Mix the butter, sugar, almond powder, and eggs
  4. Pour the mixture over the dough and add the Amarena cherries.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes at 180°C, enjoy warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
